Black’s Creek Bird Reserve

This is a relatively new part of the Blacks Creek Reservoir property.  It had been neglected for years but with $35,000 in grants and hundreds of hours of volunteer time, it was cleaned up and re-dedicated on Earth Day 2013.  It is now protected from further neglect.  The great part is that you can go on birdwatching trails by foot, or on horseback.

Lucky Peak Reservoir

Here’s another great place for fishing. You can also enjoy boating, camping, and biking.  Discovery Park is located here and offers picnic tables, grills and group shelters. There is also a spot called Sandy Point that also offers grills, plus disc golf and sandy beaches.
